The handmaidens of the Order of Solace are each named for the exquisite service that best reflects their true calling. Their greatest delight is giving pleasure–devoted as they are to fulfilling the desires of the mind, the needs of the soul, and the cravings of the body.
Meet Stillness, called upon to soothe the conscience of a man in need of redemption after a shocking act from his sexual past. Then there’s Honesty, whose vow of Solace is to a prince looking for a submissive handmaiden. Instead, he gets the unexpected. And finally, Determination, a handmaiden confronted with a client lost in a haze of random sex and drugs. She has just the plan to literally whip her man into shape.
Golly, I love the Internet. I really do. I know there’s a lot of junk to wade through, and yeah, social networking is a huge time suck and comes with its share of “issues” – but you gotta love how it enables people who’d never have met to meet one another. Don’t you?
I “met” Weston in the convoluted internet way of “friending” and “following” and I guess I was a lemming in there at some point because I ended up friending him on Facebook AND following him on Twitter (and maybe Myspace, too, god, it’s all become a blur) and then he was kind enough to share his time with me and give me this interview.
And yeah, he’s trying to blame me for his new IM habit, but I’m not taking the blame, people. You can lead a horse to water, but he’ll only drink it if he wants to.
On to the show!
First off, let me add that his name totally kicks ass. WESTON WALLS. How cool is that? He’s not only got one W, he’s got DOUBLE DOUBLE-YOUSE!
So a few weeks ago I found this new singer (new to me, I’m pretty sure he’s been singing for a long time. Long enough not to be new.) Anyway, I bought his album from iTunes, but lo and behold! He’s got a whole bunch of songs up on Youtube! Songs he’s covered that you can’t even buy. BOO! BOO, Christopher Dallman, for making me love your version of When You Were Mine (wow, that takes me back to the good old days of long, hot summers listening to Prince and daydreaming about stuff my mother didn’t want me to think about!) but not making it available to buyyyyy!
And how about this one?
