I don’t have a ‘theme’ song like you do, but for the last book I chose Love, Sex & Magic by JT and Ciara. Love that song so that might be it again.
Oh and I forgot to add that in your v-blog I was salivating over the full book cases. Ahhhhhh!
I got the boom boom pow of a new idea for Spice but I thought I’d ask you as a Spice writer. I get the feeling their pretty open to anything, how about dark erotic romance? I mean a villain who is redeemed into a hero? The idea is so bright and shiny and tempting that I have to force myself to file it away but I’m just curious if you think it’d be a good idea for that line.
@Nancy: Haha, I love it, let’s make the Boom Boom Pow a catch phrase for all writers.
My experience with Spice has been that my editor’s open to just about anything I toss at her — Deeper, for example. When I said, how about a paranormal (which is not what I’d been writing for them) she said, sure. I do think my books could be considered sort of dark, and I know they’ve covered dark themes in some of the others, so I don’t see why a dark erotic romance wouldn’t work. I mean, I can’t speak for the line or my editor, but based on what they’ve put out in the past, it seems to me Spice has a fairly broad focus.
Yay, Megan! congrats on finishing NAKED.
by Mad June 30th, 2009 at 3:12 pmWeeeeee! Congrats on finishing and being ahead too!
I’m hoping to finish my HQ requested full(eeek!) this coming Monday! So hopefully I’ll have my own end of book dance soon.

And yes! That shall be our catch phrase for the acquiring of new book ideas!
