That is a very good point and it reminds me of something my Mom said to me way back when I was in high school and she found one of my notes. She said that you should never write something down that you do not want your Mom or Grandmother to read…today with the internet being so public and available to everyone…this seems to be an even more important piece of advice.

@Lori T: the scary thing is, maybe they WOULD say the same if they met you in person, but the point is, really, that saying something to someone one on one isn’t the same as putting it out there for who knows who all could see it!

I have to agree about the whole TMI thing…I just really do not get it. Sometimes the things people post are just way too much and are these the same type of things that would be said if they were meeting you in person?

YES! It’s muchly frakking annoying when people look at you sideways because you write eroitica or even just dare put a sex scene in a book that may or may not be that graphic at all. They assume that you’ve done/are doing the things you describe and you can just see the judgmental flag going up in their brain.

Oh and Gerard Butler…Mmmmm. I picked up P.S I Love You this week. Squeeee! Can’t wait till I’m able to watch it!

Blerg! I don’t know why authors do that. There’s an author I know at a book group (and I’m wondering if it’s the same place you’re speaking of, Fatin) who does this sort of thing about sex all the time. It’s offputting.
