Ah, ain’t technology grand?
I hate when they act like it’s this big mystery that only THEY know how to fix (if you give them a bajillion dollars of course) and then it’s like the simplest thing that if they had just TOLD you, you could have done on your end. Muchly Grrrrr-ing with you.
But hopefully it’s all good now cause….oy, Supernatural… a Thursday without Supernatural is like a day without….hunky angsty demon hunting brothers really.
Did you see the Dr. Phil story about the old lady who went down to her city’s Comcast offices and attacked their equipment with a hammer?
Megan~I am sorry. That really irritates me too. Obviously just because I do not have a penis…I am unable to understand anything technical or mechinal. It absolutely drives me mad.
I hope that all is well with the DVR by tomorrow and that you do not miss a moment of Supernatural…which I have only seen like twice, but I am actually pretty intrigued and have been considering getting the first few seasons on DVD. Would you recommend picking them up. From what I have seen, I am pretty sure that I will like it.
I’m with ya
Supernatural…. YES!!! My favorite show right now. I only have 2, well, maybe three shows I actually try to catch. But Supernatural is always a must-see.
Comcast…SUCKS!!!! Yeah, nice for them to say they want to charge you for a service call due to their own incompetence!
I know you can watch episodes of True Blood via comcast OnDemand. They should do that with Supernatural so that you don’t have to worry about whether or not the stupid DVR is working.
@Linda: I could buy the Supernatural episodes from iTunes or watch them on the CW site, but I’m not sure when they’re available…certainly not within moments!
I saw Supernatural on Itunes, but they wait until the whole season is over to make it available. I know I can’t wait that long! I DVR the episodes. When I got hooked last year on season 3, I joined Netflicks so I could watch the first two seasons over the summer. It was a Supernatural Marathon. Yeah, a summer to remember…sigh, lol.
LOL Megan…I was in the middle of watching True Blood last night..don’t know what I did but I hit a button on the remote by accident and then because I have the child lock on the dish I had to punch in a code..and I fracked it up….then it wouldnt’ let me do it again….I ran downstairs to get the other tv…but dammit…I had to operate three freaking remotes for that one…gave up….ran back upstairs….and was able to punch in the right code….I missed about 5 minutes….I was pissed…..but, at least I didn’t miss the good stuff….when Bill and Sookies finally did the nasty! that would have really pissed me off but good!

Supernatural is the reason I got Tivo in the first place, so I would NEVER MISS IT.
by Megan October 8th, 2008 at 1:24 pmI usually call a friend and borrow her hubby when it comes to techie stuff for the TV…he swears he’s going to start charging me but I don’t care. LOL
by Mad October 8th, 2008 at 2:01 pm@Mad: Remember when they use to just push button on, push button off? And you had to walk across the room to do it…
